The Town Council has a vacancy for a Honorary Mace Bearer.
The mace bearers are honorary officers of the Council, who undertake ceremonial duties at key events during the year:
The main role is to represent the Town at these events, to take part in the processions and to carry the mace. A professional and presentable image is essential and a good sense of humour is welcome! Training and regalia (including hat and robes) are provided!
This voluntary post is a unique opportunity to play an important role in the ceremonial procedures of the Council, on behalf of the Town. Please see the application form for further details.
