Car parks and parking
There are two main public car parks in Axbridge owned by Axbridge Town Council.
Axbridge Town Car Park (long stay) and Moorland Street Car Park (short stay). The car parks are intended for the temporary parking of vehicles. They are free to park in but regulations apply.
Free parking is also available in The Square (1 hour).
Parking Enforcement
The Town Council owns Axbridge Town Car Park and Moorland Street car park. Parking in The Square is part of the public highway which is Somerset Council’s responsibility. Enforcement of car park and on-street parking rules, on behalf of the Town Council and Somerset Council, is managed by NSL Services Group. Enforcement patrols are made regularly and parking fines are issued when cars are illegally parked.
Axbridge Town Car Park – long stay
- 48 hour maximum stay, excluding weekends and bank holidays.
- 63 spaces in total, 3 disabled spaces.
- Free of charge.

Moorland Street Car Park – medium stay
- 2 hour maximum stay between 8:00 and 20:00.
- 22 spaces in total, 1 disabled space.

- 1 hour maximum stay between 8:00 and 18:00.
- 20 spaces in total, 1 disabled space.
- Free of charge.
