Recreation and Play Area
The Furlong is a playground and recreational field in the centre of Axbridge which is managed by the Town Council and is home to Axbridge football clubs, as well as other sports and leisure groups. There is a car park with access via Penn Way and pedestrian entrances in St Mary Street and Moorland Street.
The facilities provided include:
- Football Pitches
- Children’s Play Area
- Home & Away Changing Rooms (including showers and kitchen)
Any enquiries about booking the changing room or hiring The Furlong should be made to the Town Clerk, who will provide further information and answer any questions you may have.
Equipment, facilities and surfaces are regularly checked and maintained however if you do come across a problem please use the Report a Problem section to let us know as soon as possible. In the unfortunate situation where you have seen deliberate vandalism of the facilities please report it to the Police as well as letting us know.
